Blind Faith in Police

After a politically-oriented presentation, I was invited to speak at the Unitarian Universal Church by one of the chaplains. Having primarily been to Catholic and Baptist churches, not being a Unitarian, and only being a speaker on tangible, nonfiction, action-oriented topics, I expressed concerned about topics that I could present. The coordinator presented the Unitarian Principles which included “justice, equality, and compassion in human relations” & “the use of democratic process within congregations and in society at large.” This made sense based on the fact that the after the chaplain had seen me present on a political topic and had also RSVPed for a day against police brutality event. I had (and yes still have been) working on a post for this website with the working title “Blind faith in Govt will leave you irradiated, beaten, and broke.” We agreed on a slice of that topic: “Blind Faith in Police”

The church was full and the presentation ran long due to audience questions and comments. The slides are attached.
