LPDC and DFW NORML have the shared goal of repealing laws which criminalize marijuana. DFW NORML invited LPDC to present at the February, 2012 meeting. If you didn’t attend, you missed an informative, fun, and exciting meeting. DFW NORML (Dallas-Fort Worth National Organization for Reformation of Marijuana Laws) is a well-organized, enthusiastic, grass roots organization energetic about promoting legalization of marijuana in Texas. The February meeting agenda included the following topics and more:
- Updates on Global Marijuana March, 4/20 Party
- Updates on Senior Outreach, Hispanic Outreach, and Pet rescue Programs
- Attorney presentation on cannabis prosecution and penalties
The final topic was a presentation by the Libertarian Party of Dallas County. The presentation started with the surveillance video leading up to the Ramarley Graham killing at the hands of New York City police officers over marijuana. Discussion of liberty issues of this and other drug war events followed.
